About The Position

The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the full life cycle recruiting process for corporate/exempt roles, including engineers and project managers. This role requires using both creative and traditional sourcing methods, internally and externally, to recommend staff placement. With significant experience, the specialist will handle both technical and non-technical exempt professional and management positions, providing guidance to less experienced team members. This position demands the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Five years of corporate experience in recruitment and placement of applicants in professional and management level exempt positions.
  • Three years of experience with electronic applicant systems and internet recruiting sources.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field preferred, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Proficiency in recruiting, talent acquisition, and full cycle recruiting.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and technical recruiting.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to determine staffing needs.
  • Screen resumes and conduct candidate interviews by phone or in person.
  • Administer assessments and reference/background checks.
  • Make recommendations for hire and deliver employment offers for exempt and nonexempt position openings within an assigned territory.
  • Serve as an expert in recruiting candidates within an assigned territory.
  • Utilize traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs and community network events, to identify and attract quality candidates.
  • Collaborate with the Sourcing Specialist to present a diverse slate of qualified candidates to hiring managers.
  • Manage the internal transfer process, including screening and coordinating interviews with hiring managers, and preparing transfer offer letters.
  • Follow up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback on the recruiting process.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external clients to achieve staffing goals.
  • Communicate important employment information during the delivery of employment offers.
  • Ensure onboarding and new hire orientation processes are completed.
  • Work with hiring managers to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance.
  • Manage current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Maintain application/resume files and retention according to company policy.
  • Participate in trade/professional organizations related to the industry.
  • Lead the development of one or more annual Affirmative Action Plans.
  • Suggest and help implement ongoing process improvements for an efficient and compliant recruiting process.
