About The Position

The Senior Systems Administrator / Network Administrator plays a critical role in modernizing and operating the company’s infrastructure. This individual will be a hands-on technical leader, responsible for designing, upgrading, and maintaining server, cloud, and network environments across multiple sites. You will be a key influencer in infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures, while also mentoring junior team members and serving as an escalation point for complex issues.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure , including: Azure infrastructure and core services, Azure Backup, Cross-region disaster recovery and resilience planning
  • Microsoft 365 administration, including: Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams
  • Solid understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts
  • Experience administering: DHCP servers, DNS servers
  • Meraki Firewall experience: Firewall rules and traffic flows, Site-to-site VPNs, Client VPN configurations
  • Cisco switching and wireless: Thorough understanding of VLANs, VTP, STP, and Cisco IOS, Experience with Cisco wireless access points
  • Extensive Windows Server administration experience, including: Multi-site Active Directory environments, Monitoring and ensuring AD replication health, AD to Entra ID synchronization (Entra Connect / AAD Connect), Certificate Authority administration, File server management, Patch management, In-place OS upgrades and full server rebuilds
  • SQL Server experience: Administration and maintenance, Version upgrades
  • Hands-on experience with: Backup solutions, Antivirus / endpoint protection platforms, RMM tools
  • PowerShell scripting required , including automation for: Microsoft 365 / Entra ID / Exchange Online, Windows Server administration

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Cisco 9800 Wireless LAN Controllers strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute infrastructure modernization initiatives, including server upgrades, cloud adoption, and network improvements
  • Design, maintain, and troubleshoot hybrid cloud and on-prem environments
  • Serve as a technical authority for systems, networking, and security best practices
  • Participate in after-hours incident response and serve as an escalation resource when required
  • Mentor junior administrators and provide guidance on troubleshooting and design decisions
  • Assist with Level 1 help desk coverage when necessary to support team operation
