About The Position

The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting and evolving SEI’s cloud-first technology foundation, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable systems that enable over 600 employees across 14 offices nationwide. This role is part of SEI’s Shared Services organization and plays a critical role in empowering employees through modern technology, strong security practices, and continuous process improvement. This position is hands-on and autonomous by design, ideal for a Microsoft-focused systems administrator who enjoys ownership, problem-solving, and proactively improving environments. The role is hybrid and requires candidates to live in the greater Cincinnati area.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104, MD-102, AZ-900, MS-900, SC-900, or SC-300
  • ITIL Foundation certification or familiarity with IT service management practices
  • Experience supporting SaaS platforms and integrations (e.g., Workday, HubSpot, Coursera, FreshService)
  • Experience with SSO, SAML, OAuth, and modern identity integrations
  • Exposure to email security, phishing simulation tools, or Jamf (or similar endpoint platforms)

Responsibilities

  • Administer, optimize, and support SEI’s Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, and endpoint management platforms.
  • Support and enhance SEI’s security posture through identity, access, endpoint, and email security initiatives aligned with internal policies and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline systems, automate workflows, improve documentation, and reduce friction across internal technology processes.
  • Lead or co-lead application implementations, upgrades, migrations, and proof-of-concept initiatives, partnering with vendors as needed.
  • Provide occasional Tier 2/3 support for complex issues, ensuring system reliability and strong end-user experiences.
