Senior System Engineer
About The Position
System Engineer Level 3 – Technical SME / Cloud Modernization Position Specifics: Support the Technical Director in cloud migration efforts, strategic product road mapping, and technical debt reduction across a large and diverse product portfolio. This role will evaluate current applications and future-state options, support redevelopment planning, and help document technical strategies and modernization plans. The ideal candidate brings strong software development or application engineering expertise, experience with cloud architecture efforts, and the ability to work collaboratively across large product teams in an Agile-at-scale environment.
Requirements
- 20 years of Systems Engineering experience on programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Demonstrated experience planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts
- Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related field
- Five additional years of SE experience may substitute for the degree
- Experience in systems architecture, interface analysis, lifecycle engineering, trade studies, and technical documentation aligns strongly with the SE3 LCAT baseline
Responsibilities
- Support cloud migration strategy and roadmap development for assigned products
- Assess current applications, technical debt, and modernization opportunities
- Support redevelopment planning and future-state technical solutioning
- Develop and document engineering plans, roadmaps, and architecture recommendations
- Partner with product teams, leadership, and architecture stakeholders to align technical direction
- Support lifecycle engineering, system design alternatives, interface considerations, and modernization analysis
