About The Position

At Just Ingredients – a health and wellness e-commerce company – we believe that nourishing your body with real ingredients is essential for living a healthy and fulfilling life. That's why our products are made using carefully selected, whole-food ingredients. And our people are just as real as our ingredients – authentic, collaborative, and dedicated to fostering a workplace that inspires individuals and teams to reach their full potential. We are looking for an expert Senior Supply Planner – CPG, B2B who can turn complex demand data into clean, executable supply plans across our B2B retail and wholesale channels. This role sits at the critical intersection of demand and supply as a planning bridge — receiving approved demand forecasts from the demand planning team and translating them into clear, actionable, time-phased supply plans, which are then handed off to the Supply Chain team for production scheduling and procurement execution. The ideal candidate brings deep CPG supply planning experience with hands-on knowledge of how large-format retail accounts (Target, Walmart, Costco), natural and specialty grocers, and wholesale distributors (UNFI, KeHE, Acosta) operate — and what it takes to build supply plans that accurately reflect channel-level demand, account for lead times and capacity constraints, and give Supply Chain the visibility they need to execute. You are a systems thinker, a precise communicator, and someone who takes pride in delivering a supply plan that leaves nothing to interpretation.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in related field
  • 7 to 10+ years of demand or supply planning experience at a nationally distributed food, supplement, or health and wellness CPG company.
  • Proven experience building supply plans for B2B retail and wholesale channels — including mass retail (Target, Walmart, Costco), natural/specialty grocery, club, and/or convenience store accounts.
  • Strong understanding of retailer compliance requirements — routing guides, OTIF standards, EDI, pallet/case pack specifications, and retail DC requirements — and how they inform supply plan inputs.
  • Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with supply planning, ERP, or inventory management systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
  • Proactive communicator — anticipates supply planning gaps and surfaces them early with clear context and recommended solutions.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage supply plans across multiple SKUs, channels, and planning horizons simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical thinker who can synthesize complex demand and inventory data into clean, actionable supply plan outputs.
  • Collaborative by nature — builds strong working relationships with demand planning, Supply Chain, Finance, and commercial teams.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth CPG environment with evolving priorities and expanding retail distribution.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct familiarity with wholesale distributors and brokers, including UNFI, KeHE, Acosta, or comparable partners, and how their replenishment and fulfillment requirements impact supply planning.
  • Experience with RTD or beverage supply planning is a plus, including familiarity with RTD-specific lead time and quality considerations.
  • Experience with demand planning or S&OP platforms (Modus, o9 Solutions, Kinaxis, Anaplan, Llamasoft, or similar) preferred.
  • Familiarity with retailer portals and replenishment platforms (Retail Link, Target POL, 1WorldSync, or similar).
  • Familiarity with EDI transaction sets relevant to retail and wholesale supply chain (850, 856, 810, 846, etc.).
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience building supply planning models, inventory dashboards, and KPI reporting for B2B channels.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end supply planning process for all retail and wholesale B2B channels, converting approved demand forecasts into time-phased supply plans by SKU, channel, and fulfillment location.
  • Analyze inventory levels, days of supply, safety stock requirements, and replenishment parameters by SKU and account to ensure supply plans accurately reflect what is needed to maintain service levels across mass retail, natural/specialty, club, and convenience channels.
  • Monitor inventory health — turns, days of supply, aging, and excess — and adjust supply plan recommendations proactively to minimize risk and working capital exposure.
  • Align supply plans to retailer replenishment cycles, promotional windows, new item launch timelines, and seasonal demand patterns.
  • Maintain accurate supply plan documentation by SKU, channel, and time horizon to support Supply Chain execution and cross-functional visibility.
  • Build and deliver comprehensive, well-structured supply reports that translate demand planning outputs into clear production and fulfillment requirements for the Supply Chain team.
  • Ensure supply reports include all relevant inputs — demand forecast by channel, current inventory positions, safety stock targets, days of supply, lead time requirements, and recommended production quantities — so Supply Chain can execute without ambiguity.
  • Maintain a consistent reporting cadence aligned to S&OP cycles, retailer replenishment windows, and Supply Chain planning timelines.
  • Continuously improve supply report format, data inputs, and delivery process to increase planning accuracy and Supply Chain efficiency.
  • Apply deep working knowledge of mass retail (Target, Walmart, Costco), natural/specialty, club, and convenience channel replenishment dynamics when building supply plans.
  • Incorporate broker and distributor requirements (UNFI, KeHE, Acosta) into supply planning inputs, including order frequency, lead time expectations, and fill rate standards.
  • Collaborate with replenishment analysts to factor retailer OTIF requirements, promotional activity, and seasonal patterns into supply plan timing and inventory recommendations.
  • Stay current on retailer and distributor planning requirements and communicate relevant changes to customer operations and Supply Chain teams.
  • Identify supply constraints, inventory gaps, lead time risks, and capacity considerations within the planning data and surface them clearly in supply reports and stakeholder communications.
  • Develop supply risk scenarios with recommended planning alternatives — including safety stock adjustments, timeline shifts, or channel prioritization — for Supply Chain and leadership review.
  • Proactively flag planning risks to demand planning, Supply Chain, and operations leadership with sufficient lead time to enable mitigation.
  • Maintain a rolling supply planning calendar aligned to B2B account replenishment cycles, distributor order deadlines, and Supply Chain planning windows.
  • Participate in the S&OP supply review process, presenting the supply plan, constraint landscape, inventory projections, and risk flags to cross-functional leadership.
  • Receive the approved demand plan from demand planning and translate it into a confirmed supply plan with documented assumptions, risks, and action items for Supply Chain handoff.
  • Track and communicate S&OP outputs — confirmed supply plans, inventory targets, open constraints — to Supply Chain, Finance, and operations teams.
  • Continuously improve supply planning inputs, reporting cadence, and process documentation to support a scalable S&OP cycle as the business grows.
  • Partner closely with the Customer Operations team to ensure supply plans are fully aligned with approved forecasts and that supply constraints are fed back into the demand planning process in a timely manner.
  • Serve as the primary planning interface between Customer Operations and Supply Chain — translating demand data into supply direction clearly and consistently.
  • Collaborate with Finance on inventory valuation, working capital planning, and the financial impact of supply plan recommendations across B2B channels.
  • Provide regular reporting and visibility into key supply planning KPIs: fill rates, OTIF performance, inventory turns, days of supply, and supply plan accuracy by channel.
