JUST INGREDIENTS INCOrem, UT
4d$85,000 - $110,000Onsite

About The Position

At Just Ingredients – a health and wellness e-commerce company – we believe that nourishing your body with real ingredients is essential for living a healthy and fulfilling life. That's why our products are made using carefully selected, whole-food ingredients. And our people are just as real as our ingredients – authentic, collaborative, and dedicated to fostering a workplace that inspires individuals and teams to reach their full potential. We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Senior Supply Chain Planner to own and optimize CPG supply chain operations across our e-commerce and manufacturing functions in a fast-paced, growing environment. This role sits at the intersection of demand planning, vendor management, and manufacturing coordination — ensuring that our e-commerce channels are always stocked, our production schedules run on time, and our supply chain costs are continuously optimized. The ideal candidate brings deep CPG supply chain experience and understands the unique demands of managing high-velocity consumer goods — from raw-ingredient sourcing and manufacturing schedules to e-commerce fulfillment. You've successfully navigated complex vendor relationships, managed production lead times across multiple product categories in retail, wholesale, and e-commerce, and know how to keep a fast-growing CPG brand in-stock, on-quality, and on-margin. Strong analytical instincts paired with sound business judgment are the core competencies we're looking for.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain management, demand planning, or operations — with a strong focus on e-commerce and consumer goods.
  • 5+ years of CPG supply chain experience, ideally within the health, wellness, supplement, or food and beverage space.
  • Proven experience managing production schedules and coordinating with contract manufacturers or co-packers in a consumer goods or supplement environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing vendor relationships, negotiating supplier terms, and improving supply chain lead times.
  • Experience in supply chain sourcing — including raw material and ingredient procurement — with a working knowledge of manufacturing lead times and their downstream impact on e-commerce availability.
  • Background in cost reduction strategies, process improvement, and operational efficiency within a supply chain function.
  • Advanced Excel skills; hands-on experience with demand planning, forecasting, or ERP/inventory management tools.
  • Proficiency in analyzing sales data, lead time data, and inventory metrics to drive actionable decisions.
  • Ability to build and maintain production and procurement schedules that account for multi-stage lead times across sourcing, manufacturing, and fulfillment.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams.
  • Highly analytical with sharp problem-solving abilities and a strong bias toward data-driven decision making.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, changing, e-commerce-driven environment — including rolling up your sleeves during high-volume sales events and peak seasons.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Supplements and ready-to-drink (RTD) or beverage manufacturing is a plus, including familiarity with liquid filling operations, beverage co-packers, and the unique lead time and quality considerations of RTD production.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute inventory forecasting strategies that align with e-commerce sales velocity, seasonal demand shifts, and new product launch timelines.
  • Manage end-to-end demand planning processes to anticipate fluctuations in customer demand and ensure on-time product availability across all e-commerce channels.
  • Analyze sales trends, promotional calendars, and historical data to optimize inventory flow, minimize stockouts, and avoid excess or aged inventory.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to align procurement and production schedules with planned e-commerce promotions, product launches, and peak sales events.
  • Coordinate and manage production schedules with contract manufacturers and co-packers, ensuring alignment between manufacturing lead times and e-commerce fulfillment requirements.
  • Track and communicate manufacturing timelines, capacity constraints, and production milestones to keep inventory replenishment on schedule.
  • Proactively identify and resolve production delays or capacity gaps that could impact e-commerce order fulfillment or customer experience.
  • Apply CPG best practices to manage shelf-life windows, lot traceability, and SKU complexity across a growing product portfolio.
  • Work cross-functionally to sequence production runs efficiently, balancing SKU prioritization with raw material availability and manufacturing lead times.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with ingredient suppliers, raw material vendors, and contract manufacturers to ensure reliable sourcing and supply continuity.
  • Lead supplier negotiations and manage vendor performance, including on-time delivery, quality compliance, lead time accuracy, and cost competitiveness.
  • Actively source new suppliers and manufacturing partners to support product development, cost reduction initiatives, or supply chain diversification needs.
  • Monitor vendor lead times across all stages of the supply chain — raw material sourcing, ingredient procurement, manufacturing, and finished goods delivery — and establish contingency plans where lead time risk exists.
  • Own end-to-end PO processing — from generating and issuing purchase orders to contract manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, and raw material vendors through to receipt confirmation and order close-out, ensuring alignment with production schedules, manufacturing lead times, and inventory replenishment needs.
  • Track open POs across all vendors, proactively following up on order confirmations, shipment status, and delivery timelines — coordinating with warehouse and operations teams to confirm accurate inbound receipt against PO specifications (quantity, SKU, lot number, and quality compliance).
  • Review, match, and process vendor invoices against corresponding POs and receipt records (three-way match), resolving pricing, quantity, or terms discrepancies before submitting for payment approval.
  • Partner with Finance and Accounting to ensure timely invoice processing, payment scheduling, and vendor statement reconciliation — maintaining accurate PO and procurement records within ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Monitor open PO aging, invoice discrepancies, and procurement spend by vendor and category, escalating disputes and short shipments as needed to protect company financial interests.
  • Continuously assess supply chain processes across sourcing, manufacturing, and fulfillment to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.
  • Utilize data and analytics to track key performance metrics including lead times, inventory turnover, production schedule adherence, order accuracy, and procurement costs.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of supply chain strategies and make data-driven adjustments to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the customer experience on our e-commerce platform.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of supplier lead times, production schedules, and procurement timelines to support accurate planning across the organization.
