About The Position

The Senior Strategic Category Analyst will lead cross-functional initiatives with category teams and collaborators, developing and implementing actionable insights to achieve business objectives. The position involves analyzing complex business problems and issues using internal and external data to inform decision-makers, as well as developing and implementing cost objectives and plans to meet overall project cost targets. Responsibilities also include monitoring cost performance across key dimensions, providing oversight to team members for data integrity and accessibility, identifying and analyzing cost irregularities, patterns, and trends, and leading external market intelligence analysis, problem-solving, benchmarking, and solution development.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a closely related field, plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related Senior Strategic Category Analyst role.
• OR Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a closely related field, plus five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related Senior Strategic Category Analyst role.
• Experience in developing and implementing cost objectives and plans to achieve overall construction project cost targets.
• Experience in analyzing construction categories using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers.
• Experience in monitoring cost performance across key dimensions, including the overall project and critical areas.
• Experience in creating and implementing a framework for continuous improvement in cost analysis, ensuring competitive cost negotiations for Procurement Category teams.
• Experience in identifying and analyzing any cost irregularities and trends.
• Experience in collecting and analyzing financial data for construction related to procurement and supply chain operations to provide guidance for sourcing decisions.
• Experience in utilizing PowerBI and other data visualization tools to track procurement metrics, build dashboards and generate spendings and saving reports for internal stakeholders.

• Monitor cost performance across key dimensions, including the overall project and critical areas.
• Provide oversite to team members to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
• Identify and analyze any cost irregularities, patterns and trends to locate influences.
• Lead external market intelligence analysis, problem-solving, benchmarking and solution development.
