Senior Staff / Senior Cybersecurity Engineer
About The Position
SciTec, a wholly owned subsidiary of Firefly Aerospace, is a dynamic non-traditional defense contractor that delivers advanced technologies in support of U.S. National Security and Defense. For the past forty-five plus years, we have supported Department of Defense customers by developing innovative remote sensing algorithms, tools, and techniques to deliver world-class data exploitation capabilities supporting missile defense; intelligence, surveillance, & reconnaissance; space domain awareness; and aircraft survivability missions. SciTec has immediate opportunities for an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to work in our Boulder, CO office.
Requirements
- Combined total of 4+ years in system administration, network engineering, and cybersecurity
- 2+ years as a system administrator or with direct experience security RedHat environments
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification
- Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI
- Experience securing development and operations environments
- Experience with ACAS vulnerability scans, OpenSCAP, Anchore
- Experience with configuring alerting for SIEM tools
- Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides ( STIGs ) and applying them
- Experience decomposing high-level operational requirements into functional definitions, verification objectives, and full system specifications, and identifying enabling and critical technologies, constraints, and risks
- Knowledge of ATOs and other government compliance frameworks
Nice To Haves
- Experience analyzing network configurations and network architecture diagrams
- Specific experience with ACAS scanning, Anchore, OpenSCAP, ClamAV/Bitdefender EDR, and ELK stack
- Experience with applying hardening configurations and implementing compliance tools
- Knowledge of network security and incident response procedures
- Secure development lifecycle and secure data lifecycle processes
- Bachelor's degree in related field
