Position Summary: The Staff Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and optimizing large-scale data pipelines and solutions on cloud platforms, enabling reliable and efficient data access for analytics and business needs.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in cloud data engineering, data integration, and/or data analysis.
  • 5+ years of experience developing scalable data pipelines using SQL, Python, PySpark, and/or Scala.
  • 3+ years of experience with Databricks and/or other cloud-native data engineering platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • 3+ years of experience with creating and maintaining reports and dashboards (preferably in Power BI)
  • 1+ years of experience with with data quality frameworks and performance optimization techniques.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in Security Engineering, Security Automation, or supporting cybersecurity platforms (e.g., SIEM, SOAR, threat intelligence tools).
  • Familiarity with data quality frameworks, data governance practices, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience applying security controls within cloud data ecosystems, such as secure data lake architectures, role-based access, or sensitive data handling.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex data structures from disparate sources and design scalable data engineering pipelines.
  • Develop and implement robust ELT processes and data workflows using Databricks and cloud technologies.
  • Build and optimize data models, data marts, and integration frameworks to support analytics and data science teams.
  • Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Write efficient, maintainable code in SQL, Python, PySpark, and/or Scala for data processing and transformation.
  • Document data engineering processes, workflows, and system architecture for knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver data solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Gathering data analytics requirements and translating those into highly performant reporting and dashboards
