About The Position

Lead the monthly financial close process, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with corporate policies and procedures Prepare management and operational reporting packages Improve the accuracy and completeness of financial budgets and forecasts aligned with business strategy Safeguard company assets and ensure accurate, complete, and timely recording of transactions through strong internal controls Oversee the accuracy and productivity of day‑to‑day accounting functions, including accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general ledger accounting, and cost accounting Perform financial analysis to support business initiatives, capital expenditures, product costing, and special projects Government contracting and cost accounting: Apply FAR and DFARS, CAS, and DCAA guidance; classify unallowable costs; and support provisional and final rates, ICE preparation, and audits This role is a corporate accounting/close position first and operates under the oversight of the Controller and Deputy Controller

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accouting or finance, with 7-10 years of directly related experience in a GovCon setting
  • Hands-on GovCon exposure to include FAR, DFARS, CAS, DCAA, FAR Part 31
  • Proficient knowledge of U.S. GAAP, FAR and CAS requirements
  • Strong corporate GL/close experience such as preparing workpapers/schedules
  • Experience managing accounting functions for multiple company sites
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH; Power Query a plus)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to interract with personnel on all levels of the organization; the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
  • US citizenship required

  • Certified Public Accounting (CPA) designation a plus
  • Clearance: Preferred, but not required
