About The Position
Senior Staff Accountant About Us: Premier Private Jets is a distinguished provider of comprehensive business aviation services, including Charter, Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) [PremierMRO], and Fixed Base Operations (FBO) [PremierFBO]. The Senior Staff Accountant will handle high-level accounting and oversee financial activities of the company. This position will assist with development of internal control policies, procedures, and financial reporting and planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of experience
- Excellent computer skills; experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations
- Able to work well with senior management as well as manage, mentor and lead accounting staff
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Paylocity a plus
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of accounting, billing, financial statements, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, revenue recognition, and various special projects and analyses.
- Oversee the processing of semi-monthly Payroll. Knowledge of Paylocity a plus
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and operations
- Oversee all payments made for debts, loans, and other large transactions
- Monitor cash and funding balances
- Keep an organized system of all accounts, statements, transactions, payments, and debts
- Prepare monthly financial reports
- Manage the annual budgets and forecasts
- Define, benchmark, and implement operational best practices
- Complying with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting including coordination with outside CPA firms and outside professionals
