About The Position

This position will play a role in maintaining our financial records in our accounting software and support our accounting and reporting operations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • BA in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in written format.
  • Have a professional demeanor, strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Willingness to work as an active contributor to a team

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work on multiple-overlapping objectives
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

  • Perform bookkeeping tasks, including recording journal entries, and reconciling accounts.
  • Assist with the preparation and processing of month end, quarter-end and year-end close activities.
  • Assist with the maintenance of accounting systems for financial transactions.
  • Maintain schedules and roll forwards for certain accounts and reconcile to the general ledger.
  • Assist with cash application/cash management and bank account reconciliations.
  • Support management through the generation and analysis of reports.
  • Assist with accumulating support for auditors.
  • Assist with the monitoring for compliance with internal controls in the department.
  • Assist with monitoring revenue recognition and software capitalization.
  • Act as a backup for other areas in the department if needed.
  • Operate accounting software to record, store, and analyze information.
  • Check figures, posting and documents for accuracy.
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Compile, statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and profits and losses.
  • Code documents according to company procedures.
  • Reconcile documents and reports discrepancies found in records.
  • As part of the EMS- Environment Management System, will meet compliance obligations and accountability by contributing but not limited to the company's recycling guidelines, proper waste and other environmental performance practices.
  • Perform other job functions, as assigned.
