About The Position

The Senior Accountants will possess expertise in financial review and join our finance team across our Construction and Property Management Operations. Successful candidates will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and reports, reporting directly to the Controller and handling essential accounting tasks within the department. This position will place you in a path of advancement as you prove yourself.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Proven experience in financial statement preparation for multiple complex entities Required.
  • Demonstrated success in managing month-end close processes Required.
  • Experience supervising or leading accounting staff Required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA (public accounting audit experience with regional or national firms) or CMA (corporate accounting experience) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements, general ledgers, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
  • Analyze financial data and trends to identify discrepancies, irregularities, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Perform detailed reconciliations of accounts, investigating variances, and ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
  • Supervise and manage the outsourced accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance oversight.
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, including preparation and review of financial statements and management reports.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders—such as project managers, property managers, and hospitality teams—to review transactions and provide financial insights.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, providing commentary and analysis as needed.
  • Support year-end income tax filings and regulatory compliance reviews by ensuring accurate and timely financial documentation.
  • Execute ad-hoc financial analyses and special projects as directed by management.
