The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) is the professional organization for Chief Information Officers and other senior healthcare IT leaders. Job purpose The Senior Specialist, Provider Membership Innovation provides day-to-day operational and administrative support to CHIME’s Provider Membership Innovation team. This role supports the execution of new and evolving provider engagement initiatives, including local and regional engagement pilots, volunteer-led activities, and program logistics. The Senior Specialist works under the direction of the Senior Director to ensure initiatives are executed efficiently, communications are timely and accurate, and member and volunteer experiences are consistently positive. This is an individual contributor role focused on coordination, implementation support, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in program coordination, membership support, community engagement, events, or association operations.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong customer service and relationship skills
  • Experience and/or ability to work in a remote environment
  • Discipline to successfully work in a collaborative environment where assignments may include tasks with or without close supervision.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or background in a professional association is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics and operational details for provider membership innovation initiatives, including meetings, webinars, events, and volunteer activities.
  • Support scheduling, agenda development, materials preparation, and post-activity follow-up.
  • Maintain timelines, task lists, and shared documentation to support smooth execution of multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Assist with preparation and distribution of program materials, templates, and internal resources.
  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for provider members and volunteer leaders participating in initiatives and programs.
  • Support onboarding, communications, and engagement of volunteer leaders in coordination with senior staff.
  • Respond to routine member and volunteer inquiries, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Track participation, engagement, and basic metrics for provider membership activities.
  • Maintain accurate records in spreadsheets, membership systems, and shared folders as deemed appropriate.
  • Assist with compiling summaries, reports, and materials for internal use and leadership updates.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Membership, Marketing, Education, Events, Digital, Foundation) to support execution of provider membership initiatives.
  • Ensure communications and deliverables are aligned with CHIME standards and timelines.
  • Support consistent documentation and information flow across teams.
