About The Position

Avid Core is seeking a Senior Specialist, Communications with experience creating and implementing communications and outreach strategies for federal government clients. Requirements

  • 3+ years of communications or real estate experience supporting a Federal Agency
  • Experience with federal clients is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel is a must; and Power BI tools is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
  • Position may have supervisory responsibilities.
  • Able to manage multiple high-priority tasks.
  • Willingness to travel, communicate, and maintain positive interactions with landowners along the southern border communities.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Able to manage and follow up on deadlines, as well as to identify and recommend solutions and next steps.
  • Fun and energetic.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Communication, or Real Estate, or equivalent
  • Candidates will be provided a computer, however, must have steady internet connection and a phone.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting landowner outreach or real estate planning and acquisition is preferred.
  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) desired.
  • Experience with large infrastructure projects and real estate planning along the southern border is a plus.
  • Top Secret/Secret clearance desired

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of landowner outreach material to support infrastructure projects
  • Track and maintain landowner parcel information based on specific projects and geographic locations
  • Develop and distribute communications, mailings, and outreach materials
  • Manage and track outreach and engagement activities and data, including all communications and responses
  • Ensure all project data is entered into project tracking tools
  • Attend landowner meetings and take notes
  • Support planning and execution of large infrastructure projects
  • Perform work involving the acquisition of real estate by purchase, lease, exchange, or donation
  • Support programs and processes, identify existing or potential problems, resolve and remedy circumstances before problems occur, and modify processes to improve products, procedures, and programs
  • Support and maintain real estate landowner outreach schedule for multiple large infrastructure projects, to include key milestone dates, deadlines, meetings, discussions, etc.
  • Schedule and attend meetings and prepare talking points and after-action reports detailing the meeting notes and action items
  • Maintain a list of tracked action items and assist with the closure of those items
  • Participate in project calls
  • Maintain project documentation files and track points of contact, and key activities
  • Develop weekly and monthly progress reports detailing key project activities
  • Supervise 1-3 staff members
  • Other duties as assigned
