In the role of Sr. Brewing Specialist working in Golden, CO, you will coordinate resources and coach the team to interface with resources on shift (quality, asset care, scheduling, etc.). The Sr Brewing Specialist coordinates proper coverage for shift across lines, units, and departments in partnership with the People Starpoint. The work is strenuous in nature requiring lifting, pushing, and pulling forces up to 50 lbs. in a hot, cold, wet, noisy, and dusty at times environment. Ability and willingness to work in a shift operation, weekends, and holidays as necessary to support production requirements. This position reports to the Line Lead.

Requirements

  • At least 5-8 years of experience in Brewing or food/beverage manufacturing is desired.
  • Degree preferred in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or Microbiology.
  • You are at least 21 years of age.
  • Proficient in World Class Manufacturing and a thorough knowledge of structured problem solving.
  • Must understand best practices of EH&S, 5S, Focused Improvement, Visual Performance Measures, and Teamwork.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal, strong influencing, coaching, and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to safely operate multiple complex manufacturing processes and systems efficiently.
  • Understanding of flow dynamics, volume control in a closed system or experience in a food/beverage plant or other production environment
  • Computer skills and ability to learn software including Microsoft Applications, MCMS, Control systems (BrewMaxx and DeltaV), and SAP.
  • Working knowledge of CIP theory in accordance with best practices and standards.
  • Instrumentation calibration experience.
  • High School Diploma / GED.

Responsibilities

  • Continually ensures safe practices and policies are followed by team members and tasks are perform in accordance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, GMP, lock out/Tag Out/Try Out safety rules, codes, policies, and regulations.
  • Perform as the leader of a team that is semi-autonomously to achieve process area goals.
  • Assigns job tasks/duties to shift team members.
  • Ensures effective communication across brewery.
  • Facilitates SDS meetings to drive performance.
  • Partner with Area Trio and Training Specialist to implement training plans and develop training documentation.
  • On-boards new team members according to the standard onboarding process.
  • Responsible for ensuring the cleaning and sterilizing processing equipment is completed to standard.
  • Perform Quality at the Source activities including aseptic sampling and inline instrument calibration.
  • Maintain good GMP in the area.
  • Review production schedule for changes and lead the team to execute any changes.
  • Coordinates beer and material availability and escalates any schedule issues.
  • Lead the team in Autonomous Maintenance activities.
  • Provides knowledge and expertise to capital project planning and implementation.
  • Coaches best practices of EH&S, 5S, Focused Improvement, Visual Management Tools, and Teamwork.
  • Will have a thorough knowledge of structured problem solving (IPS, 5WHY, Fishbone)
