About The Position

Immunome is a clinical-stage targeted oncology company committed to developing first-in-class and best-in-class targeted cancer therapies. We are advancing an innovative portfolio of therapeutics, drawing on leadership that previously played key roles in the design, development, and commercialization of cutting-edge therapies, including antibody-drug conjugate therapies. Our pipeline includes varegacestat, a late-clinical stage GSI; IM-1021, a clinical-stage ROR1 ADC; and IM-3050, a FAP-targeted radiotherapy that recently received IND clearance. We are also advancing a broad portfolio of early stage ADCs pursuing undisclosed solid tumor targets. Position Overview The Immunohistochemistry Specialist/Senior Specialist will be central to advancing our drug development pipeline. This is a fast paced highly collaborative position which will be key to speeding medicines to patients. You will work cross functionally supporting pre-IND candidates through late-stage development collaborating with internal and external partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of extensive experience performing histology and assay development in a drug discovery setting including multi-target and multi-species assays in preclinical drug development.
  • Experienced immunohistochemistry assay development scientist.
  • Familiarity with several IHC platforms including BondRX along with general IHC core instrumentation.
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified histotechnician (HT) or histotechnologist (HTL) highly desired.
  • Previous experience in antibody-based therapeutics or oncology drug discovery is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine microtomy and staining of single/multi-plex Immunohistochemistry and RNA-ISH.
  • Independently design, develop, guide, troubleshoot and validate IHC assay development for lead candidate molecules.
  • Source, procure, and inventory FFPE tissue blocks for project and banking needs.
  • Use a comprehensive electronic notebook and inventory system to record specimens, reagents, and experimental details.
  • Perform full slide scanning maintaining an image and slide inventory system
  • Maintain laboratory supplies and reagents. Participate in general lab upkeep.
  • Data analysis and interpretation:
  • Independently and with supervision interpret, understand and communicate complex scientific data to guide rapid decision making.
  • Leverage expertise to enable decision making within team and cross-functionally.
  • Project collaboration:
  • Operate independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams to design, plan and execute experiments aimed at advancing drug development projects.
  • Partner and collaborate with colleagues from diverse scientific disciplines, including chemistry, pathology, biomarker, pharmacology, and translational medicine to rapidly achieve project goals.
  • Collaborate with facilities and EHS to ensure optimal functionality of our lab space and adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Fearlessly represent IHC team in project team meetings.
  • Documentation and reporting:
  • Maintain meticulously detailed and accurate electronic laboratory notebooks documenting experimental procedures, results, and conclusions.
  • Prepare and present research findings to internal cross-functional teams and contribute to project updates providing histology and assay expertise.
  • Continuous learning and development:
  • Readiness and excitement for exploring new avenues and developing new assays in a fast-paced environment.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in techniques for evaluating targeted therapeutics.
