Are you an expert in the dynamic field of inventory management? Amazon is seeking a passionate and experienced professional to take on the role of Senior Spare Parts Inventory Manager. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the global strategy for spare parts inventory management within the Central Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team. This position goes beyond traditional inventory management and requires an expert who can influence and revolutionize how Amazon RME manages spare parts inventory on a global scale. You will not only be responsible for overseeing stocks but will also lead process improvement projects, such as enhancing the tracking of parts and optimizing the claims process with suppliers in the event of equipment failures. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
  • 7+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • 5+ years of driving process improvements experience

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Responsibilities

  • Be a key contributor to the global spare parts inventory management strategy
  • Work with peers to develop and execute a comprehensive global strategy for spare parts inventory management
  • Drive initiatives to ensure the availability of the right spare parts at the right locations, minimizing costs while maximizing operations efficiency
  • Conduct data-analysis and dive deep into existing policies to spot spare parts management inefficiencies. Perform supporting research, conduct complex analysis and effectively interpret reports to identify opportunities, optimize processes, and implement changes
  • Lead and champion complex and cross-functional process improvement projects to support the efficient management of spare parts across RME
  • Identify and implement success metrics to supervise the success implementation of spare parts management initiative. Prepare and give detailed data-driven business reviews to senior management
  • Drive significant communication across departments, to front line and executive level managers
