Serve as the senior technical authority guiding architecture, delivery, and on-site execution within government mission systems.Lead secure, mission-critical platforms supporting Defense customers in highly regulated operational environments. Partner with the best Establish and lead Defense-focused platform offerings integrating Akamai capabilities into operational mission environments. Drive architectural direction across cloud-native and edge systems balancing innovation, security, scalability, and operational excellence. Represent engineering leadership on-site, aligning customer objectives with efficient technical execution.

Requirements

Have 5 years of progressive experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or cloud architecture with increasing leadership responsibility.
Possess active Secret clearance and maintain DoD 8140-compliant certification such as Security+ or CISSP.
Possess expertise in Zero Trust architectures including OAuth2, SAML, OIDC, just-in-time access, and identity-aware integrations.
Exhibit deep understanding of Agile and DevSecOps lifecycles across build, test, deploy, sustainment, and continuous delivery practices.
Travel for periodic 23 week on-site integrations while coordinating across customer stakeholders, internal teams, and integrators.

Responsibilities

Providing site technical leadership, coordinating across engineering, architecture, and program teams to influence design decisions, trade-offs, and delivery priorities.
Defining and driving cloud-native and edge architecture strategy using modern containerization, orchestration, and scalable distributed system patterns.
Leading Agile delivery across a product portfolio, guiding planning, execution, sustainment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Establishing engineering best practices for security, reliability, DevSecOps, and lifecycle management across build, test, deploy, and operations.
Serving as trusted technical advisor to customers enabling secure deployment and integration within regulated government environments.
Resolving escalations, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring mission requirements translate into secure, scalable technical outcomes.
