About The Position

This position reports to the Senior Social Media Manager on the Digital Marketing team, part of the broader Marketing department. Trulieve is seeking an experienced social media strategist to drive execution, lead ideation, and manage a team of content creators to grow brand awareness in the cannabis industry. Need to be strong in social media analytics to drive content strategy. The Senior Social Media Specialist will play a key role in shaping Trulieve’s digital presence in largest market, Florida, by building brand affinity, increasing engagement, and growing our social following in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, creative, and comfortable balancing compliance with innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred: Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or similar (Not required)
  • Social media management 4+ years’ experience preferred in cannabis industry
  • Experience with Sprinklr/Hootsuite/HubSpot/Meltwater or similar
  • Travel: 40-50% in field visits (Florida and Georgia)
  • Flexibility of hours – nights and weekends

Responsibilities

  • Implement social strategy in alignment with the Senior Social Manager, customizing content for FL and GA markets while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Track, analyze, and present social performance metrics to translate insights into strategies that strengthen content, campaigns, and brand storytelling.
  • Ability to capture and produce mobile-first, short-form content including reels and videos at in-store activations, community events, and trending content.
  • Manage and mentor a small content team by providing clear direction, briefs, and ensuring compliance in all outputs.
  • Develop and manage the social calendar with oversight from Senior Social Media Manager, using research, benchmarking, and platform insights to align with audience behaviors and brand goals.
  • Collaborate with corporate communications, marketing, and retail teams to manage reputation, surface insights, and support integrated campaigns.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of social platforms, audience dynamics, and compliance requirements to ensure safe and engaging content.
  • Refine the brand’s tone of voice across corporate channels to maintain consistency and connect authentically with audiences with copywriting
  • Recommend how social data and insights can inform campaign planning, content development, and brand storytelling.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of platform behaviors, audience dynamics, and evolving best practices to provide strategic guidance.
