About The Position

The Senior Security Operations Specialist is responsible for partnership in leading the enterprise Security Operations Center, ensuring effective monitoring, detection, and response to physical security incidents across all sites. This role oversees a team of SOC analysts, manages critical security systems, and drives operational excellence through robust procedures, compliance, and collaboration with internal and external partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or related field OR 5+ years of experience in security system operations
  • Working understanding of physical security systems, network security, monitoring software, and operational resiliency.
  • Strong observation, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex security data and translate findings for technical and executive audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage fast-moving situations while keeping teams calm, focused, and effective.
  • Experience conducting security audits, generating reports, and addressing potential deficiencies.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity heavily preferred
  • Background working in a critical environment (data centers preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee enterprise physical security systems by detecting, responding, and resolving incidents.
  • Manage and administer the Physical Access Control Program.
  • Develop and maintain SOC procedures, playbooks, and training materials for SOC operations.
  • Maintain SOC event logs, reports, and metrics for operations and compliance.
  • Develop and refine incident response procedures, including detection, escalation, and management of security breaches; participate in response efforts for security-related and emergency events.
  • Stay current with technology through continued education, research emerging threats, and develop training material for the security team.
  • Prepare regular reports for security leadership and audit packages for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners (site security, EHS, compliance, facilities, operations, IT) to promote a safe working environment.
  • Analyze camera footage and access activity for suspicious behavior, breaches of security policy, or other unauthorized activity.
  • Collaborate with security integrators on commissioning new or upgraded site security technology components and maintaining existing systems.
