About The Position

USD Sanford School of Medicine is seeking a Senior Secretary to support multiple departments - including Neurosciences, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pathology, Radiology, and Surgery. This position will provide administrative support to the departments and coordinate clinical rotations for medical students which includes maintaining accurate, up-to-date records of various and frequently changing schedules, communicating schedule changes to all necessary parties, and collaborating with both students and faculty. Knowledge of: Modern office/clerical procedures and best practices Office equipment and software, including word, spreadsheets, and databases Ability to: Communicate effectively in both oral and written form Develop and maintain strong working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and clinical partners Maintain organized and accurate records across multiple databases and spreadsheets Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines Review, edit, and prepare documents for accuracy, clarity, and professionalism Work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail This position offers state health insurance and benefits, which includes a retirement plan with 6% matching, 10 hours of annual leave each month, 9.34 hours of sick leave each month, and 11 paid holidays.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of modern office/clerical procedures and best practices

  • Valid Drivers License
