About The Position

ExxonMobil is seeking a Senior SAP Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery for complex SAP initiatives supporting global business operations. This role will guide cross-functional SAP product teams, drive Agile maturity, and ensure the successful delivery of scalable, high-quality SAP solutions aligned with enterprise standards. The ideal candidate combines deep Agile expertise, strong SAP program experience, and the ability to lead global teams in a fast-paced, highly integrated enterprise environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field.
8+ years of experience in IT delivery, with 5+ years as a Scrum Master in enterprise environments.
Proven experience working with SAP implementations or SAP support programs (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, ECC, or major SAP modules such as FICO, MM, SD, PM, or HR).
Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, or similar scaling models).
Experience managing delivery in complex, highly integrated system landscapes.
Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead global, cross-functional, and multicultural teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities.

Nice To Haves

Scrum certifications such as CSM, PSM, or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM).
Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD practices, and SAP release management.
Experience in the Energy, Oil & Gas, or Manufacturing industries.
Exposure to tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or SAP Solution Manager/Cloud ALM

Responsibilities

Serve as Scrum Master for one or more SAP Agile teams delivering enhancements and projects across SAP landscapes (S/4HANA and ECC environments).
Facilitate all Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Remove impediments and proactively manage risks to ensure consistent sprint execution and delivery predictability.
Partner closely with Product Owners, SAP Functional Leads, Developers, and Business Stakeholders to ensure alignment of priorities and business value.
Promote Agile best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and accountability.
Support backlog refinement and ensure user stories are well-defined, estimated, and ready for development.
Track and communicate team metrics such as velocity, sprint burndown, and delivery forecasts to leadership.
Coordinate dependencies across multiple SAP teams, vendors, and enterprise programs.
Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile principles, helping scale Agile practices across the SAP organization.
Ensure adherence to ExxonMobil’s governance, quality, security, and compliance standards during solution delivery.
