This Senior Sales Representative role is within Xylem's Light Industry Division, managing and growing a well-established territory. The position involves providing cutting-edge water treatment solutions for high-purity and wastewater applications across various industries, with a strong emphasis on Xylem's preventative maintenance services. You will serve as the primary point of contact throughout the customer lifecycle, ensuring satisfaction, fostering retention, and driving year-over-year business growth. Key responsibilities include maintaining and strengthening customer relationships through on-site visits within the assigned territory, as well as engaging clients via multiple communication channels to close deals and provide ongoing support. You’ll respond to inquiries with expert product recommendations and guide opportunities through all stages of the sales pipeline using CRM tools for forecasting and SIOP planning. The ideal candidate will have a commercial or industrial water treatment background, bring a sense of urgency, prioritize safety, and work collaboratively across teams to execute sales strategies and uncover new business opportunities, all while maintaining high service standards and growing sales volume. Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field with at least 4 years experience or equivalent work experience in the water treatment industry
  • Basic knowledge of water treatment systems and methods
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Nice To Haves

  • Extensive knowledge of water treatment methods including water softening, carbon filtration, reverse osmosis, UV purification, and deionization
  • Adjacent industry experience could include chemical water treatment for boilers, cooling towers and chillers

  • Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities in territory
  • Plan and manage travel to visit clients and prospects within territory
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of company's products and services
  • Stay updated on industry trends and developments
  • Effectively communicate product features and benefits to clients
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for product improvements
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and client interactions
  • Submit necessary paperwork and reports in a timely manner
  • Manage and track expenses related to sales activities
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions
