Make Your Mark at Farm Family Insurance Working on-site as a Regulator Compliance Analyst, you will make a vital contribution by providing specialized support to ensure that the products we offer continually meet the statutory and regulatory requirements of each state in which we do business and to serve as a liaison between Farm Family and the state departments of insurance.

Requirements

  • Advanced P&C, Life, and/or annuity insurance experience , which typically comes with 10 or more years within the industry.
  • Superior knowledge and proficiency with insurance department filings.
  • Tenured experience within Farm Family Insurance compliance or operations departments
  • An eagerness to learn from experiences and new situations , you’re great at navigating and switching between proprietary, vendor, web-based, and standard computer systems, according to priorities. You’re also great at identifying problems and coming up with appropriate solutions.
  • An insatiable attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree OR AIRC and ALMI/FLMI designation will move you to the top of the list.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and elevate product updates by analyzing their impact on underwriting guidelines, rules, and forms, partnering closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless, strategic alignment.
  • Lead nationwide product rollouts by researching, refining, and customizing product changes to meet each state’s regulatory landscape while mapping smart timelines that keep business goals on track.
  • Drive filing excellence by preparing and submitting polished, compliant rate, rule, and form filings that advance approvals and strengthen our presence with state insurance departments.
  • Serve as the organization’s compliance compass , delivering fast, actionable research and regulatory guidance that empowers Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Marketing, Finance, Claims, and Legal to innovate with confidence.
  • Fuel product evolution by coordinating and implementing enhancements alongside Actuarial, Product Management, Underwriting Operations, Corporate Technology Services, and Marketing.
  • Mentor and inspire analysts while crafting clear, customer‑friendly policyholder communications that explain product and rate changes and transparently address production errors with professionalism and care.
  • Stay ahead of the regulatory curve through deep‑dive reviews of new laws, regulations, opinions, and bulletins, translating them into meaningful insights for assigned states and lines of business.
  • Shape the narrative for internal and external audiences by developing compelling communications for home office teams and agency partners that highlight rate updates, product enhancements, new offerings, and important regulatory shifts, all supported by meticulously maintained project records.
  • Strengthen audit and legal readiness by retrieving and organizing historical rates, rules, guidelines, forms, and agent communications for state auditors, internal auditors, and litigation teams.
  • Enhance our credibility with regulators by delivering thoughtful, accurate responses to department of insurance inquiries, partnering across divisions to ensure clarity, consistency, and trust.
