About The Position

This is a responsible administrative professional nursing position with operational responsibility for the Children’s Multidisciplinary Assessment Team (CMAT) program in the area assigned within the defined region, reporting to the Executive Community Health Nursing Director position. The individual in this position is expected to provide direct clinical and administrative supervision for the day-to-day field operations, working in conjunction with the Nursing Director, for activities that include, but not limited to, program planning, implementation, communication, quality assurance, and recruitment. This position spends more than 50% of the time engaged in supervisory responsibilities. This includes communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees in addition to planning and directing employees’ work. The incumbent has the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline subordinate employees or effectively recommend such action. The incumbent will also be required to develop performance expectations, meet with staff regularly to discuss performance, complete performance reviews, maintain vacation and work schedules, ensure proper coverage, and complete timesheets. Your Specific Responsibilities: Planning:Collects, reviews, and provides CMAT program information for the area assigned. Provides initial analysis of program data information. Assists in the  development of the needs assessment. Assists in the development of program action plans. Provides ongoing monitoring and reporting to assist in achievement of program goals. Implementation:Provides direct supervision of program staff within their reporting structure. Direct supervision of staff includes planning and directing work, approving leave requests, conducting performance appraisals, taking, or recommending disciplinary action and completing personnel action requests within time requirements. Provides and ensures appropriate education, training and monitoring of staff under purview to confirm necessary skill sets for delivery of program services. Supervises and directs day-to-day operations. Works collaboratively with senior leadership and central office staff to solve problems and resolve issues proactively and in the achievement of statewide programmatic performance. Supervises and assists with outreach and engagement of community partners in assigned areas. Assists in the recruitment, onboarding, education, training, ongoing coaching, technical assistance, retention, and other activities related to parent providers. Communication:Provides verbal and written communication ensuring consistent messaging and alignment with management, program staff, and system stakeholders. Ensures policies and procedures are correctly interpreted, implemented, and adhered to at the micro level. Attends meetings and participates as indicated. Serves as the community liaison with other community public and private stakeholders. Coordinates with Public Information Officer for area assigned. Quality Assurance:Implements organization, program, and staff quality assurance standards, in conjunction with management. Monitors program activities for quality assurance purposes. Evaluates delivery of program services provided through a systematic monitoring process that reviews data, program and staff performance, documentation of services, timeliness of services, quality of services provided, satisfaction survey results, and other indicated data points at the micro systems level. Provides analysis of data reviewed. Identifies root causes for suboptimal findings. Develops quality improvement plans, utilizing the Plan, Do, Study, Act (PDSA) cycle, for implementation that addresses root cause and includes improvement strategies and activities that increases measure to desired benchmark. Provides continuous monitoring of implemented quality improvement plan to assure correction and sustainability of performance with desired thresholds. Recruitment:Ensures appropriate recruitment and hiring practices, including equity. Provides onboarding, orientation, and training for new program staff. Works collaboratively with management for planning to ensure adequate coverage of programs during periods of vacancies.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years supervisory experience in heathcare or community-based program.
  • Pediatric nursing experience.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s license.
  • Experience completing comprehensive medical assessments.
