About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Manager to work on the International Space Station (ISS) Program in Houston, TX! This position will be supporting operations at multiple locations for the Integrated Space Station (ISS) and require up to 25% travel depending on business needs. Position Responsibilities: Manages employees and first-level managers performing quality engineering and technical activities on or in support of programs through all phases of the product lifecycle. Develops quality strategies and plans in support of new business acquisition and execution of program/business plans. Provides education and coaching on the Quality System. Acquires and manages resources, provides quality technical management and leads performance improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports. Oversees review of technical information to ensure quality and producibility. Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience in a managerial role
  • 3+ years of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or program management functional positions
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
  • This is a NASA safety-sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
