Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Raytheon has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Quality Analyst position at our Pittsfield, MA location. The Sr. Quality Analyst will work with designs and specifications, determine quality flow downs on a wide variety of precision and complex in-process and finished machined parts, highly complex components, cables, castings, forgings, circuit cards, fabricated sheet metal parts, and hardware that is produced in-house and/or supplied by vendors both pre and post award. The Quality Engineer will interface with our Defense Contractor Management Agency customer to perform product sell-offs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field or other technical degree of study or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of quality engineering experience
  • Previous experience with interpreting technical blueprints and job shop mathematical calculations in a manufacturing environment
  • U.S. Citizenship required as the candidate must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Must be able to follow written instructions and to work with little to no supervision.
  • Thorough organizational skills and familiarity with requirements of an AS9100 based quality system.
  • Ensure that all required process operations have been performed on the product that is being inspected.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that projects and process control documents are compliant with requirements, objectives and contracts.
  • Verification of materials and processes and verification of certifications from sub-tier vendors.
  • Completion of all applicable paperwork (working to AS9100 standards).
  • Performance of various other quality functions as required to ensure the timely delivery of product to the customer.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and recommend corrective action(s).
  • Perform escape management procedures.
  • Perform Audits of vendors at their locations to applicable technical data packages and industry standards
  • Develop strong working relationships with the touch labor, factory leadership, program leadership, and DCMA
