About The Position

Savantage Solutions is seeking a Senior QA Tester with a strong background in federal systems and federal finance. The ideal candidate will ensure the reliability and performance of software solutions within commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) environments. This role involves designing and executing System Integration Testing (SIT) and Quality Assurance (QA) strategies while collaborating closely with development teams. The Senior QA Tester will analyze results, resolve defects, and ensure compliance with federal standards. Additionally, the role includes mentoring junior testers and promoting continuous improvement in testing practices Duties and Responsibilities: Testing on Altimate Core System. As a Senior QA Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, reliability, and performance of our software solutions tailored for our commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) systems and solutions. You will work closely with our development teams to design, implement, and execute test plans and strategies for System Integration Testing (SIT) and Quality Assurance (QA) testing. Experience in federal systems is valuable but not required. Design and implement comprehensive test plans and cases that align with project requirements and timelines, focusing on federal finance systems. Conduct SIT and QA testing to identify software defects and ensure the reliability and performance of applications. Collaborate with development teams to understand system architecture and develop effective testing strategies. Analyze test results, document defects, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolutions. Ensure compliance with federal regulations and standards throughout the testing process. Stay up to date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies related to federal systems. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA testers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 20 + year’s experience as an end user of a Federal Financial Management System.
  • 20 + year’s experience of being part of a systems group that established system requirements and UAT testing.
  • 20 + year’s experience with a Government Auditing organization performing system and financial statement audit reviews.
  • At least 20+ years of experience in QA testing
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and cases.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in SIT or QA testing with a specific focus on federal systems, federal finance, and/or Oracle.
  • Experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, LoadRunner, or similar)
  • Experience with API testing (Postman or similar)
  • Familiarity with federal finance regulations and requirements.
  • Experience with Gitlab, Jira, or other Agile development platforms.
  • Experience with version control flow and supporting tools (Github, Gitlab, or similar)
