As a Senior Software QA Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of web applications, APIs, and CMS-based websites. You will collaborate with QA Managers, subject matter experts, developers, and cross-functional teams to ensure that all deliverables meet the highest quality standards. Your primary focus will be on leading QA activities, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and providing valuable insights to help improve our overall QA processes.

  • Co-own the quality of deliverables based on functional requirements and design specifications.
  • Review and analyze project requirements and user stories to ensure full understanding.
  • Attend team meetings and stand-ups, providing status updates, feedback, and documenting key decisions.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute test plans and test cases/scripts aligned with project goals.
  • Identify and prepare appropriate test data for manual and automated test scenarios.
  • Perform functional and non-functional testing across web platforms, APIs, and CMS environments.
  • Conduct cross-browser and device compatibility tests using tools such as BrowserStack or Responsively App.
  • Execute smoke, regression, exploratory, and integration tests based on design and business requirements.
  • Create and maintain traceability matrixes and project-specific QA checklists.
  • Log, track, and validate defect tickets, ensuring resolution and appropriate retesting.
  • Apply industry-standard QA methodologies, strategies, and best practices to every phase of the testing cycle.
  • Proactively communicate test progress, issues, and risks to QA management and project stakeholders.
  • Prepare clear, data-driven QA reports and metrics as needed by the team or leadership.
  • Assist in onboarding and mentoring junior QA staff, promoting knowledge sharing and team consistency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (PMs, developers, designers) to align on quality standards and requirements.
  • Support effort estimation for QA activities during project planning.
  • Ensure complete understanding of the project lifecycle and client expectations.
  • Ask clarifying questions when requirements are unclear or incomplete, mitigating risks proactively.
  • Create and review test planning and test cases for the projects, primarily using Jira and Xray or testRail.
  • Perform functional test execution, bug tracking, and reporting to ensure thorough validation of project requirements.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Software QA Specialist, particularly in testing web applications, CMS-based websites, and APIs.
  • Proven experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including CMS content workflows, site publishing, and QA testing on AEM‑based platforms.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments (Scrum or Kanban), with active participation in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Proficiency in using tools such as Jira, ClickUp, Mantis, Confluence, or similar for task management and defect tracking.
  • Proven experience creating and maintaining test cases, test plans, and using tools like TestRail, Xray, or TestMonitor.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with both local and offshore team members and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of cross-browser testing using tools like BrowserStack, LambdaTest, Responsively App or physical devices.
  • Experience performing smoke testing, integration testing, acceptance testing, exploratory testing, and regression testing.
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing tools such as Axe or BrowserStack and a good understanding of WCAG 2.1 guidelines.
  • Test case execution, bug reporting, bug tracking and follow-up.
  • Strong experience in testing UI/UX consistency, ensuring responsive design across multiple devices and browsers.
  • Windows/MacOS: In-depth knowledge of operating systems such as Windows or MacOS.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate technical details effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline or related field or equivalent work experience in Software QA.
  • Spanish: C2 / English: B2+ reading, writing, and conversation
  • ISTQB Certification or other QA-related certifications are a plus.
  • Automation Testing: Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Experience with testing applications in cloud environments.
