The Senior Purchasing Project Manager will directly enable JTEKT’s ability to execute our aggressive growth plans by owning and driving adherence to project timelines to meet internal and external milestones all while balancing quality, cost and delivery. This role can be accomplished working our on Greenville, SC or Plymouth, MI facility. The Purchasing Project Manager leads sourcing and procurement activities for new programs, acting as the liaison between cross-function teams (engineering, cost planning, sales) and suppliers. This role will lead and drive purchasing timelines, ensure KPI’s are met, mitigate supply and financial risks, and ensure that purchasing meets the required cost targets. This role is the lead for driving cost, quality and delivery objectives and milestones. This position will mainly be working on advanced sourcing for new JTEKT business, but will also at the Sr. Managers discretion, be allocated to other critical projects to program manage and execute in support of the JTEKT Business Plan and objectives. This role is extremely critical to the successful launch of programs and to ensuring JTEKT North America achieves profitability targets.
