About The Position

At CVS Health, the Senior Proposal Content Specialist is responsible for planning, researching, writing, and editing assigned RFP responses, ensuring adherence to enterprise brand standards, plain language guidelines, and internal RFP Style Guide standards, as well as overall database governance. The role involves reviewing and updating content in the library based on project feedback, capturing content changes, question variations, and adding alternate questions after validating accuracy and alignment. This specialist manages content additions to prevent duplicates, minimize fragmentation, and eliminate low-reuse records. They coordinate with the Proposal Content Manager, Content Lead, and Content Strategist on content creation, maintenance, and template needs. A key part of the role is proactively managing records in the proposal database, ensuring content is reviewed at least 60 days prior to its scheduled review date, and collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to achieve 100% record compliance. The specialist acts as a liaison with SMEs, following up on non-compliance and escalating issues to management if updates are 15 days past the compliance date. They are also expected to develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with business partners, share relevant information with the team, and potentially mentor new team members.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant experience that includes 2 years of client questionnaire and/or RFP/RFI experience.
  • Experience with content management applications.
  • Proven ability to deliver high quality work that meets or exceeds customer expectations and consistently meets both internal and external deadlines.
  • High level of proficiency with employee productivity tools including, but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and Web meeting applications.
  • Exceptional time management with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • History of focusing on customer needs and providing outstanding service.
  • Excellent communication skills (written / verbal) at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills required.
  • Able to work independently, but also able to work with people in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to adjust to different or new approaches to assignments and openness to feedback.
  • Ability to act as an advisor to management and colleagues on technical, informational, and operational issues.

Responsibilities

  • Manage content additions to avoid duplicates, minimize fragmented responses and eliminate records with little reuse value.
  • Coordinate with the Proposal Content Manager and Content Lead on content creation and maintenance, and with the Content Strategist on templates as needed.
  • Review content at least 60 days prior to scheduled review date and coordinate with SMEs to achieve 100% record compliance.
  • Proactively manage records in proposal database and serve as liaison with SMEs, following up when we are out of compliance and escalating to management when updates are 15 days past the compliance date.
  • Develop and maintain positive, collaborative and consultative relationships with all business partners.
  • Share information the team needs to know and mentor new team members if assigned.
