About The Position

The Senior Project Manager for the consulting team will play a central operational and financial leadership role within the consulting practice, with a specific focus on fee-for-service and Farm Management Services (FMS) work. This position is responsible for ensuring projects are well-scoped, well-resourced, on budget, and delivered at a high level of quality and detail. Acting as an internal representative for the FMS team, the Project Manager supports both project teams and leadership with clear systems, oversight, and communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business. An equivalent combination of education or experience is acceptable.
  • 7+ years experience managing multiple nationwide projects simultaneously
  • Proven experience managing multiple project budgets and project pipelines
  • Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Ability to work well with others is required while creating a high-quality and respectful work environment.
  • Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy with a wide range of internal and external constituencies is a must.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communications skills.
  • Must be able to meet the travel requirements of the position and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and project management software.

Responsibilities

  • Project & Financial Management
  • Build, manage, and track project budgets in close collaboration with project teams and the Consulting Director
  • Oversee financial performance of fee-for-service and FMS projects, ensuring alignment with scopes, contracts, and internal targets
  • Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and resourcing to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery
  • Pipeline & Leadership Support
  • Manage the consulting project pipeline for fee-for-service/FMS work, including tracking status, resourcing needs, and upcoming opportunities
  • Provide regular updates to consulting leadership on project progress, financials, risks, and capacity (in coordination with the Consulting Director and CFO)
  • Operational Oversight
  • Serve as the “internal representative” for the FMS team, helping translate project needs into internal systems, processes, and staffing plans
  • Support consistent project management practices across consulting engagements, with a strong emphasis on detail, documentation, and follow-through
  • People & Contractor Management
  • Manage onboarding of contractors and project managers, including contracts, scopes of work, budgets, and integration into project teams
  • Act as a direct support and operational point of contact for project managers working on FMS and fee-for-service engagements
  • Quality & Process Improvement
  • Uphold a high standard for work quality, accuracy, and completeness across all consulting deliverables
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal systems, workflows, and tools related to budgeting, project tracking, and contractor management
