WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Project Manager for our Transportation and Infrastructure business in our Ohio offices. In this role you will support our client development program, lead strategic pursuits and serve as a senior project manager for major projects. Requirements

  • A minimum of 20+ years of progressive experience in the transportation industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited civil engineering program.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Ohio or ability to obtain within three months.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to manage a large span of control while effectively, persuasively, and tactfully interacting with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated project management experience - personally accountable, persistent, and goal-oriented.
  • Ability to provide value in marketing and business development activities.
  • Successful project management experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
  • An excellent communicator and team leader.
  • ODOT and Ohio Local Municipality Experience.
  • Ability to independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and criteria using sound judgment.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
  • Embodies WSP USA’s values of innovation and client success through our capabilities, that drives practice excellence

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects and teams to provide quality delivery on projects of all types and sizes.
  • Represent WSP USA in the local engineering community.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with public and private sector clients, agencies, partner firms and sub-consultants.
  • Assist in the strategic growth of market sectors including marketing, proposal writing, and business development.
  • Create a professional environment of innovation, opportunity, development and continuous improvement that supports office objectives
  • Recruit, retain and develop top industry talent.
