About The Position

As a Senior Project Manager, Industrial Engineering/Facilities Planner at JLL, you will join our Project and Development Services (PDS) team in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to support the Client's Management team by providing facility planning consulting and industrial project management for manufacturing and distribution facilities. This specialized role combines industrial engineering expertise with facility planning to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients. You'll provide facility master planning expertise including data analysis, conceptual design of best practice operations, equipment and software solutions, and process optimization while leading client interfaces to understand needs and deliver intended outcomes through facility layouts and implementation management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years' experience in traditional facility planning & layout functions within manufacturing and/or distribution center environment, including office space
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • General knowledge of supply chain principles, modern materials handling, systems, and equipment
  • Strong communication skills with ability to connect with clients, JLL team members, and contractors
  • Experience in preparing and presenting presentations
  • Ability to demonstrate focus on meeting client and project requirements in timely and cost-effective manner

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of lean principles and practices
  • Six Sigma / Lean manufacturing experience with Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • Experience with conceptual facility layouts and process optimization
  • Background in manufacturing and distribution center operations
  • Knowledge of equipment and software solutions for industrial facilities
  • Experience organizing and managing documentation
  • Understanding of modern materials handling systems and equipment

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in interfacing with client teams to understand needs, intended outcomes, and anticipated drawing deliverables
  • Deliver facility master planning expertise including data analysis, conceptual design of best practice operations, equipment and software solutions, and process optimization
  • Assist with feasibility studies while identifying and addressing areas of concern regarding potential liabilities and risk
  • Act as internal quality control check for projects and participate in quality issue resolution
  • Contribute to design by observing, documenting, and analyzing current operations and projected volumes to develop design criteria
  • Provide operational analysis and assessment of client facilities and processes including layout re-engineering and rack layout/procurement
  • Coordinate implementation drawings development and implementation management while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Continue professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices
