About The Position

As Senior Project Manager for Architecture/Engineering at NewYork-Presbyterian, you will prioritize, plan, coordinate, implement and administer capital construction projects to ensure effective program development and project execution on an enterprise-wide basis. Lead, develop and manage a team of PMs, and by extension, design teams composed of architects and specialty engineering services. Provide guidance in the creation of project plans, project scope, budgets, client approach and design team management. This is a Director level role with direct reports. The ideal candidate will have deep experience working for a large, complex and matrixed organization, preferably in an academic medical center or similarly complex healthcare environment. Success in this position requires strong leadership, advanced project management expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders across NewYork-Presbyterian. Key responsibilities include identifying opportunities to enhance facility performance, optimize space utilization, regular reporting and updates to senior leadership and align infrastructure investments with both current and long-term business needs. This is a full-time position that will have oversight on projects connected to the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital / Columbia University Irving Medical Center sphere.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, and/or Design and Construction
  • Minimum of 10 years of directly related experience
  • Previous healthcare design and/or construction or engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint and Project Management Information Systems

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Proficiency in Unifier and Microsoft Project systems
  • Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, and/or Design and Construction
  • Professional licensure (Registered Architect, Professional Engineer) or related industry certifications (i.e. CHFM, PMP, LEED AP).
