About The Position

The senior project engineer/project manager will be responsible for all aspects of planning, designing, and permitting mine operations from exploration to production and processing. This role is responsible for evaluating geologic and resource models, developing surface and underground mine plans for aggregate deposits, and assessing site constraints related to regulatory, environmental, and permitting requirements. The senior project engineer will design operational facility plans, evaluate and improve processing plants, and provide and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. In addition, this position will mentor junior engineers and geologists and contribute to the long-term growth and sustainability of the organization. Occasional travel to client sites and regional offices may be required. We do not accept unsolicited resumes from third-party recruiters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in geology, mining, geological, or civil engineering
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in mining aggregate, crushed stone, sand and gravel, cement, and/or consulting industries
  • Registered professional engineer/ professional geologist or ability to obtain upon hire
  • At least 5 years of project management experience
  • Leadership and team management experience
  • Experience in technical report writing
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in commercial engineering and mining software (e.g., AutoCAD, Carlson, Surpac, Vulcan, Carlson, Minesched, and GIS) preferred
