About The Position

S&ME is seeking a Senior Engineer Project Manager to join our Wilmington, North Carolina, office in a dual role supporting both geotechnical and construction materials testing projects. If you're eager to advance your technical expertise, project management, and leadership skills working on complex projects while being mentored by our technical principals, we want to talk to you. As a Senior Engineer Project Manager , you will lead and manage a variety of geotechnical, construction materials, and special inspection projects from start to finish. You'll apply your technical expertise while guiding project teams, supporting clients, and delivering timely and accurate recommendations for critical building and infrastructure developments in the private and public sectors.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Mining, or a related engineering field.
8+ years of related geotechnical and/or construction materials experience, which includes some extent of project management responsibilities.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in NC or ability to obtain with reciprocity

Responsibilities

Manage geotechnical, construction materials, and special inspection projects from planning to execution, maintaining quality, schedule, and budget.
Analyze field and laboratory data to develop safe and effective engineering solutions.
Prepare technical reports, proposals, and support business development initiatives.
Serve as a key point of contact for clients and subcontractors, ensuring alignment and solving project challenges.
Mentor junior staff and promote a positive, safety-first work culture.
