CMTA, formerly known as AMA Group, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer - AV, who will be responsible for developing audiovisual (AV) design requirements on various projects. This is a hands-on role that offers an opportunity to be part of a growing, industry-leading team under the guidance and mentorship of Senior Engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or related discipline; CTS certification is a plus
  • 4+ years of experience in AV designing, planning, and project management
  • Working knowledge of key audio, video, and audiovisual products from major manufacturers, including Crestron, Extron, BiAmp, QSC, Shure, Poly, Cisco, and others
  • Working knowledge of computer networks as they pertain to both IP-based audio and video signal transport and UC (Unified Communication) based video/audio conferencing
  • Expertise with sound systems, including microphone and speaker requirements, and their placement and integration in acoustic environments
  • AutoCAD and REVIT proficiency
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project expected

Nice To Haves

  • AVIXA CTS/CTS-D and manufacturer-sponsored certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ability to develop audiovisual design requirements by meeting with and discussing clients’ requirements while working with the internal design team
  • Design and coordinate with architectural and engineering disciplines of audio/video systems for, but not limited to, boardrooms, collaboration rooms, huddle spaces, town hall venues, conference, and multipurpose rooms
  • Develop 2D and 3D drawings for architectural layouts of AV equipment and system schematic diagrams
  • Organize and lead coordination meetings and take detailed meeting minutes
  • Resource management in the development of RFPs
