HOK, a global architecture, design, engineering, and planning firm, is seeking a Project Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team. This is a hybrid position and may be based in either our San Francisco (One Bush Street) or our Seattle office (1200 5th Avenue), with on-site presence required three days per week. As a Project Accountant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely accounting for assigned projects. You’ll work closely with Project Managers and Finance leadership to support project setup, billing, reporting, and financial analysis. We are seeking a Senior Project Accountant with advanced knowledge of project accounting principles and practices, particularly within the architecture, design, or construction industries. The ideal candidate will be able to oversee multiple large, complex projects. This candidate will be able to successfully provide in-depth financial analysis to Project Managers and other stakeholders as necessary, identify and mitigate risks and develop financial strategies. The most successful candidates will demonstrate advanced knowledge of project accounting skills, including a background in revenue recognition. Candidates will be able to demonstrate exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills, is essential. Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint or a similar project accounting software is also required.
