About The Position

Senior Program Manager - Hybrid This position is responsible for providing advanced program leadership support to the Finance Data Center of Excellence and the broader System Finance and Finance Operations organizations. This position supports the growth and viability of the Center of Excellence by leading the coordination, management and alignment of multiple key projects and initiatives that will achieve performance to our strategic and organizational goals. Collaborating with key stakeholders and leaders, the Senior Program Manager position provides expert consultation while providing structure and process to orchestrate the work of multiple project teams, ensuring adherence to priorities, scope, timelines and budgets in order to maximize the overall efficiency, performance and accountability of the portfolio of projects. In executing strategic initiatives, the Senior Program Manager acts as a change agent, leading through decision frameworks to ensure projects effectively move through phases of design, implementation and spread for realization of quantitative benefits. The position reports to an Executive Director within the Center of Excellence and must establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and leadership in Providence Strategic and Management Services (PSMS), as well as with other Providence Health and Services staff, vendors and agents, and others. As a key interface between leaders and departments, the Senior Program Manager creates cohesion among stakeholders and alignment toward to the program charters set forth by senior leadership and Providence’s strategic plan. Essential Functions: The role encompasses consultation, facilitation, program management, project management, data analytics and operational implementation for programs and projects in partnership with leadership to achieve System Finance and Finance Operations goals. Lead and manage large-scale strategic priorities of System Finance and Operations , ensuring up-to-date reporting on progress, including priorities, timelines budgets, and escalating issues to be addressed. Serve as a central point of contact for a wide variety of high-level relationships between project leaders, senior leaders, and external contacts, aligning stakeholders toward the overarching program and project charters. Identify key insights through analysis and interpretation of data as well as collecting information through a variety of methods (interviews, surveys, industry literature, etc.) to scope, design, plan and lead execution of large-scale, high-value strategic initiatives/projects. Responsibility for tracking and managing the ROI and expected cost savings associated with our goals through the use of reporting tools and data analytics. Present project and program risks, issues and key decisions to senior leadership and facilitate discussions for proper resolution. Ensure accountability by confirming that projects are well coordinated, completed on-time and stay on-budget. Facilitate the design and execution of enterprise-wide committees, councils, work groups and executive-level meetings to ensure maximum efficiency. Communicate project and program outcomes to leadership teams and committees by drafting presentations, reports, and correspondence in support of strategic priorities. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Science or other healthcare related areas.
  • 5 years of Managing project work and/or programs and providing support to senior and executive leadership.
  • Preferred experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.
  • Experience in clinical program management with specific experience partnering with clinicians.
  • Experience in working closely with senior and executive leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Any field.
  • Coursework/Training: Specialized training in facilitation of diverse groups.
  • Coursework/Training: Lean/Six Sigma training.
  • Belt Certification in Lean or Six Sigma within 1 year of hire
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) within 3 years of hire
  • 2 years of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.
  • 1 year of Management of people.
