About The Position

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Acquisition Program Manager providing support to the NC3 Contract and specifically the NCL Sustainment Division. The AFNWC/NC3 Integration Directorate is headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA, with an operating location at Kirtland AFB, NM and Peterson SFB, CO. The NC3 Directorate’s mission is to provide support to the Program Executive Office (PEO), the Deputy Director, Deputy AFPEO NC3 and staff for acquisition and administrative control of all NC divisions, branches, and programs. It consists of an Executive Section, Engineering (EN), Financial Management (FM), Operations Management (OM), Information Protection (IP), Contracts (PK), Cyber, Logistics (LG), the Program Execution Group (PEG) and Intelligence (IN). This position will serve as the focal point for multiple NC3 sustainment programs, overseeing depot actions and coordinating various working groups. This is a full time position located at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies, and practices of systems acquisition and program management, as defined in DoDI 5000.02 Operation of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework, AFI 63-101/20-101, as well as knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force.
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition, sustainment, or modification programs.
  • Knowledge of support activities that assist the program manager in assessing what programs are within schedule and cost baselines, be able to recommend viable solutions to problems, and the pursuit of alternative courses of action.
  • Effectively communicate orally and in writing, providing quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings, documents, plans, etc.).
  • Plan, research, analyze, and assess system acquisition in terms of development, production, deployment and sustainment of weapons systems and associated equipment as well as formulate plans and recommend effective strategies in meeting cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
  • Support and develop acquisition and sustainment reports, including statutory and regulatory reports (i.e. Defense Acquisition Executive Summary (DAES), Monthly Activity Report (MAR), etc.).
  • Support program management reviews, senior level meeting/reviews, and IMP/IMS reviews.
  • Support and develop various briefings/schedules of program status and acquisition tasks to senior management.
  • Understand the different funding types, budgets and the Central Asset Management (CAM) process.
