About The Position

The Senior Professional II, Online Biz Sales Management position at Samsung Electronics America Inc. in Plano, TX, is responsible for driving key initiatives for the MX Category Management team. This includes planning, timeline management, tracking, and obstacle removal. The role involves developing data analyses and statistical models to inform business decisions, creating predictive models for forecasting business outcomes, and conducting deep dive data analyses to identify growth opportunities. The incumbent will also develop go-to-market plans to maximize revenue and profit, prepare leadership presentations, and improve processes for speed to market and agility. Mentoring junior team members is also a responsibility. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Analytics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Six years of experience in the job offered or as a Consultant, Investment Banker, Analyst, Business Planner, or another related occupation.
  • Six years of experience in deep dive data analysis or analytical insight generation to inform key business decisions.
  • Six years of experience using Excel and analytical platforms, including analyzing data using pivots and V-Lookups.
  • Five years of experience analyzing eCommerce site metrics and consumer data and translating the results into actionable insights to drive sales.
  • Three years of experience developing regression-based predictive models.
  • Three years of experience presenting data and insights to executive-level leadership to drive recommendations, articulate tradeoffs, and communicate sales strategy to leadership using PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Drive key initiatives for the MX Category Management team, including driving planning, timelines, tracking, and removing obstacles for the team.
  • Develop data analyses and statistical models to inform key business decisions and investments to maximize ROI.
  • Create predictive models to forecast business outcomes and run scenario analyses to maximize top-line and bottom-line growth.
  • Conducting deep dive data analyses to identify root cause issues or first principles-based insights to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Understand business drivers and develop go-to-market plans for maximizing revenue and profit for key businesses and categories and deliver growth.
  • Drive leadership presentation preparation including completing the detailed analysis and PowerPoint slide development.
  • Create processes and improve ways of working to improve speed to market and creating agility to respond to the business quickly and efficiently.
  • Mentor junior team members.
