We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Production Supervisor for our EPP Busch site in Jacksonville, FL. The Senior Production Supervisor will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of shop floor personnel and overseeing work cell team leaders. This role involves establishing and maintaining continuous improvement initiatives while setting daily operational goals for the work cell. The Supervisor will monitor cell productivity, guide the scheduling and sequencing of work, and promote innovation in production to optimize overall efficiency. Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Experience with performance management, mentoring and/or leading cross-functional teams.
  • Leadership experience such as people management, conflict resolution, or policy compliance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage a team of production technicians, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring that all team members are adequately staffed and trained to meet operational demands.
  • Cultivate a robust safety culture within the work cells, facilitating ergonomic assessments and hazard analyses to proactively eliminate or reduce safety risks.
  • Oversee the quality, safety, scheduling, culture, and overall performance of the work cells, ensuring adherence to organizational policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Support Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action initiatives, alongside PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) efforts, to mitigate operational risks and enhance product quality.
  • Implement and enforce 5S practices to maintain organization and cleanliness in work cells, contributing to a more efficient work environment.
  • Lead Tier 1 and Tier 2 meetings, providing updates to Value Stream management team during daily Tier 3 meetings.
  • Enhance work area effectiveness through daily Real-Time Problem Resolution (RTPR), collaborating with Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Planners to resolve operational challenges.
  • Coordinate materials and logistics activities to ensure that materials are consistently available, enabling smooth operations and achieving On-Time Delivery (OTD) metrics.
  • Maintain open communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for production activities.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop production employees; provide coaching, resolve conflicts and conduct comprehensive performance evaluations.
  • Perform Tier activities and report directly to the Operations Manager, ensuring that all operational metrics and activities are accurately communicated and documented.
