Senior Product Policy Manager, Regional Policy (Americas & Europe)
About The Position
We are hiring a Senior Product Policy Manager with expertise in regional compliance and localized policy contextualization for the Americas and Europe. You will join a growing team that works across the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa, LatAm, Oceania, India and Asia-Pacific, and is responsible for aligning Roblox's product with global and regional norms by adapting our policies to evolving international and regional regulations and expectations. A member of the Product Policy team, you will have a global impact on our policy and safety strategy. You will collaborate internally with our product, engineering, business, legal, public policy, marketing, communications, and operations teams to help drive the business forward on a foundation of safety & civility. The role requires you to be at San Mateo, CA ,Tuesday through Thursday.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in online Trust & Safety and/or Product Policy
- Background in content policy development for global platforms, with a focus on regional policy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; Able to distill complex issues into their core components, analyze possible solutions, and propose viable policy paths forward
- Strong product / technical understanding as a foundation for creative problem solving
- Experience working directly with senior company leaders and presenting to executives
- Fluent language skills in English (Required), German and/or Dutch (Preferred)
- Experience working with the video game rating authorities Pan European Game Information (PEGI), Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle (USK) and/or the International Age Rating Coalition (IARC)
- JD / Master's degree or equivalent experience
Nice To Haves
- Experience working on matters of international policy with global regulators and articulating complex policy issues (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our Legal and Public Policy teams to articulate Roblox's Safety vision, policies and standards to regulators globally
- Adapt Roblox's global policies to regional markets and work with our Moderation Operations team to ensure they are effectively enforced
- Analyze the landscape across industry and regulatory activity to proactively anticipate and address risks to Roblox and our users
- Work directly with our product and operations teams to guide the development and use of enforcement systems and safety tools for compliance with Roblox policies and local laws
- Work closely with the Product Policy Manager for Global Age Ratings to ensure compliant game ratings across various regions
