We are seeking a Sr. Product Marketing Manager, Digital Fan Engagement responsible for digital engagement, strategic oversight of our mobile apps, PHX ID and streaming services Suns+ / Merc+, and a buildout of a loyalty/rewards program. This role will emphasize monetization opportunities within the fan journey—turning engagement into transactions—leveraging PHX ID for identity and access, while developing content, subscription, and rewards strategies for our mobile app and digital platforms (DTC) to deepen fan value and lifetime revenue.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of the digital landscape, including loyalty programs, rewards marketing, fan monetization, subscription strategy, analytics, and digital commerce.
  • Experience working on mobile app product marketing, app releases and product launches and working with app developers and integration partners
  • A curious, innovative, and entrepreneurial mindset, focused on understanding the fan journey and turning engagement into monetization opportunities across PHX ID, Rewards, and Suns+ / Merc+.
  • Experience with CRM, data-analytics, loyalty or rewards platforms, and subscription lifecycle management.
  • Exceptional communications and marketing experience demonstrating success in monetization campaigns, loyalty program development, and subscription growth.
  • 6+ years of experience working on/with mobile apps and associated technologies
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to transit throughout the arena for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to carry on a conversation both on the phone and in-person.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy and execution for fan monetization campaigns tied to digital engagement, rewards programs, and loyalty initiatives.
  • Own and optimize our mobile app roadmap by working with our app developer; enhancing rewards program integration, loyalty offers, subscription access, and in-app purchases.
  • Own and optimize relationships with our app developer and 3P vendor integrations, creating a roadmap for feature enhancements and new functionality, ensuring that functionality and fan engagement is aligned.
  • Develop a business plan for a Suns & Mercury rewards program, leveraging existing PHX ID program, built for driving fan acquisition, retention, and incremental revenue (concessions, merchandise, upgrades, offline interactions).
  • Create app GTM campaigns that drive adoption, gamification, monetized fan experiences, and promotions tied to PHX ID functionality
  • Develop and execute Suns+ / Merc+ subscription strategy: drive awareness, sign-ups, retention, and upsell through targeted campaigns, leveraging exclusive content and premium experiences.
  • Work cross-functionally with Brand Marketing, Creative, Content, Lifecycle Marketing, and Social to ensure monetization, PHX ID, and Suns+ / Merc+ strategies are cohesive across all mediums.
  • Work with Business Intelligence and Lifecycle Marketing to identify fan segments and deliver personalized offers, loyalty experiences, and subscription campaigns to drive incremental value.
  • Provide campaign insights and summaries of the effectiveness of digital campaigns with a focus on revenue impact, program growth, PHX ID adoption, and Suns+ / Merc+ performance (subscriber growth, churn reduction).
  • Work closely with Lifecycle Marketing to develop data-driven, full-funnel campaign strategies that drive revenue through fan membership, loyalty, rewards program adoption, PHX ID engagement, and subscription revenue from Suns+ / Merc+.
  • Develop campaigns using testing, segmentation, creative, and content strategy to optimize for conversions, rewards participation, retention, and subscription upgrades.
  • Research latest trends and best practices in digital monetization, loyalty, subscriptions, and rewards platforms, applying them to PHX ID and Suns+ / Merc+ adoption strategies.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing Manager, Digital Partner Engagement on Partnerships on subscription-driven activations (e.g., sponsor offers bundled with Suns+ / Merc+) and sellable digital inventory.
