About The Position

Come join an energetic team responsible for building solutions to help secure the Microsoft Sovereign Cloud. Microsoft Sovereign Cloud is ideal for governments, critical industries, and regulated sectors that require strict compliance with data residency laws, operational autonomy, and disconnected access. In short security and compliance are critical needs for our customers. Specifically, you’ll be joining a team that’s collaboratively defining the security strategy, roadmap and responsible for delivering these security solutions in the Azure Local product line.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management for products used by commercial customers.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
  • These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).
  • 4+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).
  • Product management experience shipping security products (or) IT infrastructure products such as Azure Local or equivalent products

Responsibilities

  • Independently contributes to identifying customers’ unmet or unknown needs and market opportunities for enhancements or development of multiple feature areas. Ensures product-market fit and alignment between the customer, the market, internal stakeholders, and the goals and strategy of Microsoft.
  • Collaborates with engineering to synthesize, prioritize, and address feedback to improvement. Works with partner engineering teams (both inside and outside of Microsoft) to prioritize investments and owns the overall roadmap for multiple feature areas. Adjusts roadmap based on technical / other constraints.
  • Partners to define and collect feature performance metrics, monitors and reports on progress (e.g., business reviews), and derive deep insights and drives productive courses of action to improve product/feature development, iteration, and implementation.
