About The Position

As a Senior Product Designer I on the Agent Platform team, you’ll shape how automation is discovered, managed, and understood across HubSpot. You’ll work on complex, cross-product experiences that clarify mental models, elevate interaction quality, and make intelligent workflows feel understandable and in control.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience in complex SaaS, platform, or systems-based environments (or equivalent experience).
• Strong systems thinking and demonstrated expertise in interaction design for complex interfaces.
• Experience designing management, admin, platform, or data-heavy experiences.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and bring clarity where definitions and patterns are still emerging.
• Experience partnering closely with product managers and engineers to ship high-quality solutions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate clear points of view backed by research and rationale.
• A portfolio showcasing shipped work on complex, cross-functional problems (password-protected portfolios welcome).

Nice To Haves

• Experience designing agentic automation systems, workflow tools, or AI-driven product experiences.
• Experience contributing to or evolving a design system across multiple product areas.
• Comfort shaping strategy in addition to crafting detailed interaction flows.

Responsibilities

• Own significant portions of core automation management and oversight experiences, partnering with senior designers on broader strategy
• Define and refine mental models that help customers understand how automation, AI-powered steps, and agents behave.
• Create scalable interaction patterns for navigating, inspecting, and troubleshooting complex, data-rich systems.
• Translate technical capabilities into clear, actionable user experiences in close partnership with Product and Engineering.
• Prototype and test sophisticated interface concepts to validate usability, clarity, and trust.
• Partner cross-functionally to drive coherence across product surfaces and ensure automation experiences feel unified.
• Contribute to long-term UX strategy for intelligent workflows and influence design quality beyond your immediate scope.
