What are we looking for? 🔎 We’re looking for a seasoned product designer who’s been around the block and knows how to ship. You’ll lead the design of our immigration app and internal tools. In a few months, you might be shaping the experience for a brand-new app we acquire, whether it’s AI-powered or not. Things move fast here, and nothing stays still. This isn’t a one-product job. You’ll work across a diverse mix of apps, each with different users, problems, and opportunities. One month, you’re untangling a complex immigration case journey; a few months later, you’re crafting an entertaining, social experience that people actually want to share. Ultimately, you must be passionate about turning user tears into product cheers. Before you get too excited 🤠 This isn’t your typical design role. We’re not here to make things “look pretty” and call it a day. We’re looking for builders who: ▸ Love messy problems: from 1 → 10 or 10 → 100, you know how to bring ideas to life from scratch. ▸ Believe speed and quality go hand-in-hand. ▸ Have worn many hats before: founding designer, early employee, design lead, or you’re just kick-ass at your craft. You’ll have a ton of freedom, but also full accountability. No hiding behind specs, no “just the visuals.” You’ll help decide what we build, not just how it looks and feels. We’re a small, scrappy team. This is not a 9-5 job. We move fast, priorities shift, and sometimes you’ll work on more than one app at a time. Requirements

You have extensive experience in designing and shipping successful mobile consumer products and internal tools in fast-paced, high-growth environments, ideally at pre-seed, seed, and Series A startups where speed, ambiguity, and ownership are the norm. Start-ups are your natural habitat.
Expert at designing for iOS and Android, but comfortable working on desktop too, where most of our internal tools live.
You sweat the UI details but know when to zoom out and connect the dots, creating cohesive, end-to-end experiences.
You design for everyone, not just people who look like us. Inclusive design and accessibility aren’t afterthoughts.
You make well-reasoned trade-offs and advocate for great UX.
You start from first principles and aren’t afraid to challenge industry norms. You’ve built products that tackled long-standing user problems in new ways instead of copying competitors.
You understand that writing is designing where your copy is intentional, concise, and always part of the experience.
You’re flexible and fluid in your approach to work. With enough research, you can develop a point of view on market outlooks and cultural trends. With enough debate, you are capable of changing that point of view.
You bring product sense and design sense in spades, and you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get hands-on.
You communicate clearly and work effectively across diverse teams and working styles, challenging ideas thoughtfully and influencing decisions without ego.

Nice To Haves

It’s great if you’ve worked on FinTech or other regulated products handling lots of sensitive data, but it’s not essential.
Extra credit if you’ve got skills in motion design, animations, and visual effects AND 100 bonus points if you’ve played around with Rive.

Responsibilities

Set the design vision and lead all design efforts for the core product, making sure every experience feels seamless and connected.
Break big ambitions into incremental steps that guide the team forward.
Design functional, emotional, and accessible experiences, balancing ideal UX with real-world trade-offs based on technical constraints, experimentation strategies, and business priorities.
Own every stage of the design process from discovery, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, to pixel-perfect UI.
Understand users deeply by running research sessions, reviewing insights, analysing data, and running lightweight experiments when needed.
Partner with product, growth, monetisation, analytics, and engineering to drive the team from problem discovery to solution discovery to shipped product.
Collaborate and communicate in a way that amplifies the voice of our users and influences the business and product strategy. Remain humble and open to feedback while not shying away from expressing your own opinion.
