Atrius Internal Medicine / Pediatrics / OBGYN has an immediate opening for a friendly, patient focused and detailed oriented Senior Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. The Senior Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service, and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting clinical and service goals. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:30am – 6pm Location: 142 Berkeley St. Boston, MA 02116

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of healthcare experience
  • 1+ years of EMR experience
  • Previous customer service experience, ideally in a healthcare setting, is preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and maintain good judgment and accountability
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret information from others

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience working in a medical front office position performing duties such as scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, insurance verification and maintaining medical records
  • Knowledge of EPIC software
  • Ability to learn new software (EPIC) and flexibility to attend new hire training
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for IM/Pedi and OB, managing incoming calls and messages to assist with scheduling appointments and addressing inquiries
  • Confirm calls, handle all faxes and mail, ensure positive patient flow
  • Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments
  • Provide information and guide patients through medical services we offer, i.e. locations and contact information; Help with MyHealth sign up
  • Address patient complaints, issues with flow, and provide support through specialized team roles
  • Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems specifically Epic, Outlook and Microsoft office
  • Performs other duties as assigned
